I have been a personal trainer since 2013 and a massage therapist since 2017. I've had the opportunity to work with professional cycling athletes as a soignuer, elite powerlifters and strongman competitors, and normal day to day people living with chronic pain.
The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system. Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, and even cellulite. 5 minutes of cupping is equal to 30 minutes of deep tissue work. It helps cut recovery time down and allow your body to heal quicker.
Deep tissue massage addresses each layer of the muscle tissue. Working through each layer to create better blood flood, correct alignment and structure, and release trigger points and restrictions.
